After the 92 FC Las Vegas Mundial Girls won the championship last weekend in Reno, the 89 Mundial Girls and 90 Mundial Girls both battled to Nevada State Championships this weekend. Along with 3 Nevada State Championships, FC Las Vegas also had 2 teams finish 3rd in the event, the 94 Mundial Girls and the 93 Mundial Girls. Congratulations and best of luck to the teams travelling to Hawaii for the Regional Competition.
Jenna Riddle has been honored as being the 2007 - 2008 2007-08 Nevada Girls' Soccer Player of the Year. Jenna was a Goalkeeper on the Centennial High Schools team that won the State Championship this year. As well as the Goalkeeper on the U18 FC Las Vegas Team the Won its 3rd Consecutive State Cup Last weekend. [Story]
The U16 FC Las Vegas Soccer Team Caputed the 2008 Nevada Stae Cup in Reno, Where they defeated the Nuesport Green Team 1-0 in the Final. With the win the team is now ranked 14th in the Region and 39th in the country. The Team has trained with Tedd for 5 years.

BYU Track & Field Freshman, Katie Palmer, has had quite an impressive spring season so far. In March she received All-American Distinction at the National Indoor Championships, and was also named to the Mountain West All Conference Team.
World Ranked #424, Asia Muhammed, reached the 2nd round in the $75,000.00 Movie Gallery Pro Open, Movie Gallery Pro Classic - Dothan, AL. Asia had to win three matches in order to qualify for the main draw. In the final qualifier round she won against the number 2 junior player in the world, Melanie OUDIN. USC Freshman Tennis Player, Cristala Andrews, has advanced to the Quarterfinals in the Pac-10 Singles Invitational Matches, She has posted wins over Ashley Anderson (WASH), and Stephanie Wetmore (UCLA).
D.C. United acquires rights to Mike Zaher from Toronto FC in exchange for a first round selection in the 2009 MLS Supplemental Draft. [Story]

Asia Muhammed, Who has worked with Tedd since 2003, Reached the Final of the $50000.00 Las Vegas Hilton Cup, Although she lost the final, this was an impressive tournament for the Las Vegan who improved her world ranking from #620 to #428 with her effort, During the tournament she prevailed in matches against 4 women ranked in the top #150 in the world [Story]

Amanda Gilbert who has trained with Tedd for 6 years has committed to play for The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Women's Soccer Program next year  
Las Vegas native, Mike Zaher earns NSCAA Scholar All-America Honors, Mike is only the second player in UCLA history to receive this honor. (+)

Lauren Dudley who has trained with Tedd for 5 years has been invited to join the Region IV Olympic Development Program Team for the 2008 US Youth Soccer ODP Girls U17/U19 Camp Ventura, California. The event will take place at Ventura College from January 2 - January 5 and will match the regions against each other for 3 games. For results on the matches click here.

 
After a strong campaign for ULM a pair of standouts were named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) 2007 All-Louisiana Soccer Team, announced Sunday morning. Junior Rachel Hobson and freshman Tiffany Bombard garnered honorable mention honors for the team that honors the top-10 players of all the soccer-playing schools in the state. (Full Story)

Tedd Girouard has once again been published in the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation, this marks the second time he has been honored to be part of one of the most important journals in this field. The article titled Effect of the Simultaneous Application of NMES (Neuromuscular Electric Stimulation) and HVPC (High Volt Pulsed Current) on Knee Extension Torque has been published in the November 2007 volume.
FC Las Vegas Midfielder / Striker Riley Basset has committed to play next year for the Southern Utah University Soccer Team, Riley is the local athlete that has trained with Tedd the most times over the past 7 years. RIley began training with Tedd when she was 10 years old.
FC Las Vegas defender / midfielder, Stephanie Avila has committed to Play next year for the Belmont Abbey College Women's Soccer Team. Stephanie has trained with Tedd since 2003.
Freshman Midfielder Amanda Forrester scored her second goal of the season as the The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Women's Soccer Program, defeated Air Force, 2-0. [+]
FC Las Vegas defender, Anna Guida joins teammate Hailey Garrison in committing to play for The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Women's Soccer Program next year. Anna has trained with Tedd since 2005.

UCLA soccer player, and Las Vegas native, Mike Zaher has been announced as finalists for the 2007 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. The award honors a male and female soccer player for their accomplishments both on and off the field. A nation-wide voting process will help determine the winner, and fans can vote online once a day until November 21. You can read the full press release here.

Tiffany Bombard scored the only goal for The University of Louisiana Monroe's Women's Soccer Program to secure a 1-0 upset victory against Florida Atlantic at FAU Field in Boca Raton, Fla. [+]

ULM Freshman Tiffany Bombard became the 10th Warhawk to register two assists in a single game, tying the school record.
